M. Lynette Hartsell, Attorney at Law - 1981-Present
Conflict resolution has been the cornerstone of my practice since its inception over 30 years ago. Over the course of three decades in the practice of law, I have represented many clients from various backgrounds involving a broad array of legal issues. These experiences have provided an understanding of the conflicts, issues and needs of many citizens, businesses and organizations.
My private practice of law has had a concentration in Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation for over two decades. Additionally, I have had the honor and privilege of representing clients from diverse communities in a variety of cases including criminal matters ranging from misdemeanors to felony murder; civil matters ranging from domestic to contract to complex real estate; and personal injury matters ranging from small claims to one of North Carolina’s largest settlements in 2001.
I have had the opportunity to submit briefs and argue cases in the North Carolina Court of Appeals, as well as to work with colleagues on issues considered before the North Carolina Supreme Court.
I am admitted to the United States District Court, Middle District of North Carolina, Eastern District and Western Districts of North Carolina.
I have handled numerous debtors’ rights matters in all three Federal Districts of North Carolina involving Fair Debt Collections Practice and debtors’ rights in District and Superior Courts in various counties in North Carolina.
I was first certified as a Mediator in 1992, and have served as a mediator in Superior Court cases in North Carolina and as an Arbitrator in Superior Court.
