If you are divorcing or have a family related matter, and may not be inclined to hire an attorney, then you should consider a mediator.  Mediation can assist in settling the matter, navigating you through the process and guiding you in completing the court forms.

As a Florida Supreme Court-Certified Family Law Mediator, I act as a neutral third party assisting you through the settlement process of your divorce or family dispute.  The settlement will address the details of such family matters as:

-          The division of all financial assets and debts

-          Alimony and child support

-          Visitation and Co-parenting issues

In the process of mediation, I will finalize a written agreement, as well as guide you through the completion of the required court forms to be filed with the courts.

The cost to mediate is considerably lower than the cost of a long, drawn out litigated matter, and our rates are extremely competitive in comparison to other mediators.

Family mediation is commonly used by divorcing couples, or by former partners with children out of wedlock in need of determining shared parenting and child support.  If you are in one of these family situations and have limited financial means for hiring separate attorneys, then you should consider mediation as one of the initial steps in the process.  Engaging a mediator early in the process will likely save you time and money.

Mediation is less traumatic and less destructive to the family.  If you have children, you will likely need to keep a continued dialog and post- settlement relationship with your spouse or partner.  A non-adversarial settlement through the mediation process will set the stage for a more pleasant future.  Also, in family mediation you and your spouse or former partner are part of the decision process and outcome, as opposed to a judge deciding for you.
