Experience:
For 43 years Mr. Greene was actively involved in the practice of law involving many areas of the law including family law, corporate and business entity formation and management. He has served as a mediator in family, business and litigation matters. He has also managed a staff of over 60 lawyers and paralegals at Portnoy & Greene, P.C. Separately he has been involved in many businesses outside of the practice of law, including the retail liquor business; real estate ownership and management; and other retail businesses. He also was involved in the training and communications industry where his company developed a variety of training programs ranging from safety training, sale training and management training.
Mr. Greene also acts as the president and director of a company that does tax deferred exchanges of real estate under section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code. He has been involved in this business since 1988. During that time Mr. Greene was able to help clients defer millions of dollars in federal and state taxes created as a result of the sale of real estate.
Mediation: Qualified as a mediator under the laws of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including general litigation mediation; family law matter; and wage and hour matters.
Mr. Greene has also participated in numerous charitable projects including the creation of scholarship foundations.
Mr. Greene is married to Joan C. Greene since June 14, 1970 and two children and 4 grandchildren.
