Brenton D. Soderstrum is a member of BrownWinick. Brent practices primarily in the areas of litigation, construction law, OSHA and employment law. He is involved in all aspects of the construction industry - from negotiating contracts and job-site safety issues to employment issues to dispute resolution through mediation, arbitration or litigation. Brent also handles employment and litigation issues for other business clients.


Brent is an active member of Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Iowa, the Construction Specification Institute, and Master Builders of Iowa. He is also a member of the Iowa Association of Mediators. Brent was appointed by the Governor of Iowa to the Commission of Persons with Disabilities from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2009. Brent is a frequent speaker on issues that face businesses in and out of the construction industry.


Brent is active in his community and has served in leadership roles with his church, Lutheran Church of Hope.


Brent received his B.A. from Luther College in 1986 and his J.D., with high distinction, from the University of Iowa in 1989. He was admitted to the Iowa bar in 1989.
