CHRISTOPHER R. vanRODEN , is a native of Baltimore and a graduate of the University of Baltimore, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, and a Masters of Public Administration. He earned his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law and became a member of the Maryland Bar in 1985. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He is also a member of the American, Maryland State and Harford County Bar Associations.  He is a member of the Family and Juvenile Law Sections of the American and Maryland State Bar Associations.  He is a member of the Section Counsel and is the Past Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Practice Section of the Maryland Bar Association. He is active in community affairs and has served on the Board of Directors of Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center (SARC), and has been recognized by the Harford County Bar Foundation for his pro bono representation of indigent Harford County residents in need of legal services.

Concentrating in all areas of Family Law, including divorce, custody, visitation, child and spousal support and marital property issues, including pension division and distribution, the law office of Christopher R. vanRoden provides clients with quality representation.

As Mr. vanRoden has also completed the forty-hour basic mediation training and the twenty-hour additional domestic mediation training in Maryland, he provides mediation services, which should be strongly considered as an alternative to litigation.
