Corinna Steele is from Houston, Texas.   She was educated at two private universities:  the University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas and The School of Law, Southern Methodist University nka SMU Dedman School of Law.

After graduation from law school in 1984, Corinna practiced in the Dallas area for ten years, returning to the Texas Gulf Coast in 1994.  Residing in Fort Bend County, she managed the litigation department for the Houston office of Heard Goggan Blair and Williams for three years.

Corinna returned to practice as a solo practitioner in Fort Bend County, Texas in 1998 opening her present office in Richmond in a wonderful old house just across the street from the courthouse complex off of Jackson Street.  Although the courthouse complex has moved to the new Fort Bend Justice Center, her office is still conveniently located one mile away.

Corinna studied languages at university and she is fluent and literate in the French and Spanish languages.   As a result of her background and her language skills, she represents many non-English speaking clients.

After 32 years of practicing law, Corinna trained in mediation and began offering mediation in a variety of cases, in both English and in Spanish.  One day she hopes someone will ask for a mediation in French!

Corinna Steele, Attorney at Law & Mediator, provides legal counseling in the areas of criminal and juvenile defense; lawsuits involving Children’s Protective Services; wills and probate matters; and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.

The focus of the practice is to serve the community in a manner mutually beneficial to clients while providing income for the firm. People who consult with the firm are confronted with some of the worst moments of their lives; they or someone they love are charged with a criminal or juvenile offense; they are confronting the potential loss of their children through a Child Protective Services lawsuit.; they need to plan for the event of their own death or they have experienced the loss of a loved one and they need to settle the estate; or they are facing insurmountable debt and they need some type of relief.  These people need someone to help them navigate the legal system; as well as someone who can, with empathy, enable them to process the many choices which impact their future. While it is very important to find someone competent to represent a client in whatever their legal situation is, it is also important to find someone who cares not only about the outcome but who is invested in the client.
