David M. Remley graduated from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, cum laude, in 1977. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1980. Following law school, Mr. Remley clerked for the Hon. J. P. Morgan of the Missouri Supreme Court before joining a litigation law firm in Cape Girardeau, MO in 1981.

Mr. Remley is a member of the Cape Girardeau County Bar Association and the Missouri Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Missouri courts as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

In addition to his law and mediation practice, Mr. Remley has been involved in the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He has served in many roles in Scouting including assistant scoutmaster and scoutmaster of local troops as well as being an advisor for a Venturing Crew. In addition, Mr. Remley has served as the chairman of his district and has attended two National Boy Scout Jamborees as an adult troop leader. Finally, Mr. Remley has served on eight advanced adult leadership training courses called Wood Badge, including one course serving as the Scoutmaster/Course Director.

Mr. Remley is married and has two adult children.

For over thirty years, Mr. Remley has been almost exclusively engaged in civil litigation and workers compensation work for plaintiffs, defendants, claimants, employers and insurers. He has handled literally thousands of civil and comp files and has tried dozens of matters to final award or jury verdict. Mr. Remley’s case experience includes personal injury matters consisting of premises liability, motor vehicle, products liability and medical negligence cases. In addition, he has handled business conflict and liability matters, insurance coverage disputes and employment cases. His breadth of advocacy experience on both sides of legal conflicts has equipped Mr. Remley with a unique ability to see and truly understand both sides of such conflicts as a mediator.

Mr. Remley has taken and successfully completed mediation-specific training from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution and the 40 hour Domestic Mediation course offered by MARCH of Liberty, Missouri. He began building his mediation practice in 2003 and since that time has mediated hundreds of domestic and civil conflicts to successful conclusion.
