Donna is a Certified Circuit, Family, and Appellate Mediator.  Donna offers mediation services only to attorney-represented parties.

Donna stands out from other Florida mediators in two important respects.  First, Donna is board certified as both an Appellate Specialist and a Business Litigator.  While only six percent of eligible Florida Bar members have earned board certification in one or more specialty areas, Donna is just one of two attorneys certified in both appellate practice and business litigation.  Second, Donna is a former Certified Public Accountant with an MBA in Finance.

Before focusing her practice on appeals, mediation, and arbitration, Donna handled a wide variety of business disputes involving real estate, employment, insurance, intellectual property, factoring, and others.  Donna has represented clients in state and federal proceedings, at the trial court level and on appeal.

After graduating No. 1 from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University, Donna clerked at the Fourth District Court of Appeal for Florida Supreme Court Justice Barbara Pariente.  Following her clerkship, Donna was with the national law firm Edwards Angell for twelve years.  Donna then became a partner with a boutique litigation firm where she chaired the firm's appellate practice section.  In 2011, Donna opened her own firm, Solomon Appeals, Mediation & Arbitration.

Before becoming a lawyer, Donna was a CPA with Price Waterhouse in New York City.  She later became a Manager of Accounting and Financial Reporting for Penn Central Corporation. After moving to Florida in 1987, Donna became an Assistant Vice President/Manager of Financial Reporting for Intercontinental Bank in Miami, and then worked for American Express before entering law school.

Donna has been recognized with several awards for her pro bono work and has been a leader in various professional organizations.  Donna has published numerous articles, given presentations, and participated in panel discussions concerning various business-related areas  of the law.  Donna also taught Accounting for Lawyers as an adjunct professor for Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University.

Donna is a passionate believer in resolving disputes through mediation and/or arbitration rather than by judge or jury.
