I was born in Cleveland, Ohio living there until seven. We moved to fast Lansing, Michigan for two years. We then moved to Amherst and Lorain, Ohio for two years. My father and Mother then purchased a Ford dealership in Brunswick, Ohio.

I graduated Brunswick high School in 1976. While in Brunswick I was on the wrestling team from 8th through 10th grades, became 4th in the state of Ohio in table tennis for players under the age of 18 and was a member of the National Honor Society.

I went to Ohio State University for one year between 1976 and 1977 (the second year Archie Griffin won the Heisman Trophy and Woody Hayes coached.) Spring semester in 1978 I began studies at Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. I graduated in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in business concentrating in business management and marketing.

Fall quarter in 1981 I began law school at Ohio Northern Law School in Ada, Ohio. I graduated with a Juris Doctorate in the spring of 1984. I took and passed the Ohio Bar in July of 1984. I practiced in Northern Ohio until summer of 1986.

I then moved to Sarasota, Florida and where I took and passed the February 1987 Florida Bar Exam. I began practicing in New Port Richey as an Assistant State Attorney. I tried approximately 90 jury trials between December of 1987 and April of 1991

Beginning in April of 1991 I began to practice law with Declan Mansfield and in 1993 we opened our office at 8300 Massachusetts Avenue New Port Richey, Florida. In 1993 I also married Maria and we had our first child Ryan in October of 1995. Our second child Nicole came in January 1997. We currently live in Palm Harbor, Florida.

Maria is a homemaker, Nicole plays soccer and is a member of the Nation Junior Honor Society. I have been an assistant soccer and baseball coach on Ryan's teams. Ryan is a freshman at Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida.

We belong to St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Tarpon Springs and are members of the Ruth Eckerd Hall for the Performing Arts. We enjoy live entertainment, going out to our favorite restaurant, and traveling around the United States and Europe.
