H.B. received his Juris Doctorate from The Florida State University College of Law where he was a member of the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law in 1990. He is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to appear in the United States District Court, Northern District of Florida and the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. He is a Certified Circuit Court Mediator and since 2001 has served as Chairman of the Second Judicial Circuit Certified Civil Process Server Review Board.H.B.’s practice includes business and commercial litigation where he represents individuals, small businesses and large companies including, title insurance companies and agencies; commercial and residential landlords; and commercial borrowers. These matters run the gamut from contract disputes, to services disputes, to franchise disputes, to loan disputes, to disputes surrounding the closing of a business.

H.B. also represents individuals and entities involved in real estate transactions and litigation, including commercial foreclosures, problem loan workouts and matters easement rights, boundary disputes and actions to quiet title. He also represents title insurance agents/agencies in forming joint ventures to assist in their compliance with the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (“RESPA”).

H.B. can also assist you with starting and operating your business. He has assisted numerous clients in forming their business entity and answering questions that arise on a daily basis. He further assists clients with acquisitions and mergers, from both a buyer’s and seller’s perspective.

H.B. has also represented individuals and entities before many of Florida’s professional regulatory and licensing boards, including the Education Practices Commission, Department of Management Services – Division of Retirement, Florida State Board of Administration, Florida Board of Medicine and the Construction Industry Licensing Board, to name a few. The scope of his representation has included disciplinary cases, licensing applications, administrative hearings and judicial appeals.

H.B. is also a Certified Circuit Mediator and has mediated many of the above disputes as well as personal injury matters.
