Julie Buchman is an active practicing attorney, with more than 25 years of legal experience. She is a bi-lingual, Russian/English speaking attorney. She specializes in personal injury, premisses liability, medical malpractice and landlord tenant law. She graduated first from Moscow State Law University and then, after practicing as a litigation attorney for a few years in Russia, earned her LLM /MCJ (Master of Comparative Jurisprudence) degree from New York University School of Law .
Ms. Buchman was admitted to NYS Bar in 1999 and has been practicing in New York ever since. She is a Member of American Bar Association and a founding partner of Law offices of Buchman & Associates, P.C. As part of her interest in an extrajudicial dispute resolution, Ms. Buchman has been sworn as an Arbitrator at Small courts of New York City.
In addition to running a practice, Ms. Buchman tries to return her good fortune to the community by participating in Pro-Bono organizations such as New York Legal Assistance Group. She also volunteers at the Civil Court of the City and State of New York and the Housing Court of NYC Kings county representing indigent clients before these courts.
During her legal career Ms. Buchman always strived to help her clients resolve their differences amicably, without resorting to expensive and time- consuming judicial intervention. As the result, she developed exceptional listening and mediating skills. Capitalizing on her life-long experience with bringing litigants to mutually acceptable compromises, Ms. Buchman has decided to devote her career to mediation. She successfully completed Mediation training at New York Piece Institute. In addition to New York, she is certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit Mediator as of October 27, 2017.
