Michael Geiger has practiced law since 1989. He is admitted to practice law in Tennessee, New York and New Jersey. Michael appreciates that resolution of conflict is preferred to protracted and costly litigation and adverse proceedings. A significant portion of Michael’s practice remains dedicated to mediation, arbitration and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Since 2004, Michael has been listed by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Rule 31 Mediator. He serves on the Mediation Panel for the U.S. District Court, Western District of Tennessee. Michael is a certified FINRA Arbitrator and serves on AAA arbitration panels. He remains active in the ADR sections of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and Memphis Bar Association.
While Michael’s mediation and arbitration practice remains broad based, he offers extensive experience with construction contract, construction defect, insurance, product defect, personal injury and environmental claims, in addition to securities matters. Over the past number of years, Michael’s practice has expanded to address disputes concerning probate matters and trust and estate issues.
