Morey is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and trial lawyer who, for more than 37 years, has represented clients before state and federal courts and juries, as well as administrative agencies in a broad range of labor and employment matters including virtually every theory of employment discrimination, harassment, or disability claim, wage and hour, non-compete or unfair competition claim and matters before the National Labor Relations Board involving the National Labor Relations Act.
Morey has been annually recognized by his peers and others in Florida Super Lawyers, Florida Trend’s Legal Elite, the Best Lawyers in America and for over 25 years has maintained an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He is Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator and a certified mediator in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Morey began practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada before moving to Orlando Florida in 1984. In 1986 he accepted an in-house position with the diversified, publicly traded publisher, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich where he eventually became Lead Labor and Employment Counsel. In 1990, Morey returned to private practice where he has served in a variety of roles, including as Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Group at Lowndes for 22 years.
