Welcome!  I’m Noelia Moreno

Thank you for visiting my page.  I hope that you find answers to your questions and if not feel free to contact me.

I was born and raised in Miami so I really understand our unique culture.  We come from diverse backgrounds and this often leads to miscommunication and misunderstandings.  That’s where I step in.

As an attorney, I spent almost 20 years as in house counsel at a large manufacturing firm and in construction.  Every day I mediated situations that kept my company as well as other companies away from court and the costly expense of litigation.

In my personal life, I’ve experienced the stress of divorce as a child and also as an adult with a child.  The emotional and legal process is scary and confusing.  Strong emotions and reactions can come up during the process and last long beyond when the divorce decree is signed. There’s a potential for a ping-pong game of negativity.

Over the years, I have successfully mediated thousands of disputes. My specialty is conflict resolution which I approach in a no-nonsense, practical manner infused with doses of humor using my skills as an attorney, mediator and certified coach.

Why do I focus on dispute resolution without the need of filing a lawsuit?  Because as an attorney, business owner and divorced person, I know how stressful, lengthy, uncertain and costly litigation can get.  In my opinion, litigation is a lose-lose situation.  I like to see everyone win while maintaining their stress levels low and being able to predict the outcome with certainty.  You can resolve your differences in many legal situations without going to court, yet I focus specifically on divorce.

My experience lies in mediation, mixed modern families, partnerships, stress reduction and helping people to move forward in a productive and empowering way.  Throughout the years I’ve studied and taught people how to become more effective communicators with themselves and others.   Most disputes can be solved with proper communication and understanding.

I believe that there has to be a better way to go through divorce than what we’ve been conditioned to.  I’m passionate about helping people experience divorce in a different way by teaching them what I’ve learned so that hopefully they can avoid needless pain and suffering for themselves and their families.  I live this.  This is my lifestyle and I want to share it with you.

Mediation Services

One of the most stressful situations that a person can go through is litigation; especially divorce litigation.  The process, the paperwork and the language are unfamiliar.  Mediation is a process where the parties that are having an argument agree to have a third party help them to resolve their dispute.  The mediator doesn’t offer any advice only guidance to the parties.  It is a process that helps everyone leave with a feeling of integrity and peace.

You have the choice to go through the divorce process without unnecessary fighting, with an attorney or on your own.  This is where I step in and offer mediation and coaching services.  There’s a better way to go through divorce without further heartbreak by having to go through costly and energy consuming litigation, without having your intimate grievances aired out in court.  Divorce is painful and you can avoid further hurting someone that you used to love by coming to a friendly settlement.  This approach also avoids hurting your children and family members.

Here’s what I offer:

Divorce mediation:  Couples can agree to divorce without fighting.  It can be done with or without representation by an attorney, so long as the parties agree. I work with couples who realize that their best option is to divorce and would rather keep their money in the family instead of spending it on costly litigation.  We work on reaching a settlement before filing papers in court.  Once the papers are prepared, they are filed in court and the Judge enters a signature.  It’s that simple.

Divorce coaching:  Sometimes people don’t know what happens before, through and after the divorce.  Typical concerns are what will happen to my home, finances, security, kids, car, bank accounts and credit cards?  What about the family pet? What will dating be like?  I tangibly make the experience better for my clients by letting them know what to expect along the way.  This helps my clients to make better decisions.  Sometimes couples decide to work out their differences rather than divorce.

Family coaching:  Raising kids is challenging in our community.  There’s a lot of pressure to succeed and to keep up with the Jones.  This can stress families out.  Especially mixed families who have a different dynamic because often there are feelings of guilt, shame or blame between the parents.  It can get confusing for parents, step-parents and kids.  I help families resolve their challenges in a peaceful and loving way.

Marital Coaching:  I work with couples to guide them on resolving their grievances without focusing on issues of the past.  Coaching is geared towards creating a vision and setting tangible goals.  I apply the same concepts in marital coaching so that together we remove obstacles and create a clear plan for an inspiring future.

Additional Services:  Divorce Agreements, Parenting Issues, Modification Agreements, Parental Agreements, Settlement Agreements.  Telephone and Skype sessions are available as well as convenient evening and weekend hours.
