Terry 'cut his teeth' as a newly admitted attorney in 1977 amending profit sharing and pension plans to conform to the then newly enacted Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), which is the federal law controlling the division of virtually all private 'qualified' retirement plans, whether defined benefit pensions or defined contribution cash savings {401(k) type} plans. He also has extensive experienced preparing the legal documents necessary to divide federal, military, state, county, and municipal retirement plans, and has done so successfully for customers all over the USA for the past twenty plus years. Terry was designated an ‘expert witness’ in the area of retirement division for a Maricopa County Superior Court and regularly receives referrals from judges and attorneys in Maricopa County, AZ. JurDoc, LLC offers neutral preparation of all retirement plans as directed in the parties' decree or mutual agreements.
As a family mediator, Terry possess all of the credentials available in Arizona. He was included on the Superior Court Family Mediator Roster at its inception in 2001, and has served three terms as president of the Maricopa County Association of Family Mediators (www.mcafm.org). Terry is designated an ‘Advanced Practitioner‘ member of MCAFM and was previously an Advanced Practitioner and Charter Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR). Prior to the creation of the ACR, Terry was, beginning in 1995, a Practitioner Member of, and later an Approved Consultant to, the Academy of Family Mediators (AFM, a predecessor organization to ACR). In 2008 Terry was designated an ‘expert witness’ in the area of family mediation practice for a Maricopa County Superior Court.
