Maisel’s practice concentrates on the areas of personal injury claims, insurance law, subrogation, commercial law, as well as serving as an arbitrator in business disputes, underinsured and uninsured motorist claims, and commercial claims. As a mediator he has an extensive background in tort/negligence/insurance coverage claims, as well as commercial claims, business disputes, professional negligence disputes, and e-discovery.

A graduate of John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Maisel has been a member of the commercial arbitration panel of the American Arbitration Association since 1985, and is a certified mediator for the Circuit Court of Cook County Major Case Civil Mediation Program and Chancery Mediation Program as well as a court-approved mediator for the Circuit Court of Will County. For the past three years he has volunteered as a pro-bono mediator for the small claims court in the Circuit Court of Will County. He trained in the mediation of e-discovery disputes at the American College of e-Neutrals and has completed a 40 hour Mediation/Arbitration Training at the Illinois State Bar Association.
