Fran Russell brings a background in accounting to his general law practice, providing valued counsel for individuals and businesses on varied matters involving complex financial transactions. Fran specializes in probate litigation, including will contests and family law matters, as well as estate and trust planning and administration, state and federal taxation, commercial and residential real estate matters, the purchase and sale of businesses, and general corporate matters. Attorney Russell P. Schwartz received his B.A. in 1985, graduating Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and his J.D. in 1988 from Western New England University School of Law. His practice at the Law Office of Russell P. Schwartz concentrates in the area of Domestic Relations and Family Law.
Attorney Schwartz lectures for the Worcester County Bar Association and for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education group and upon request has appeared as a guest speaker on WTAG and WCRN radio talk shows as well as New England Cable Network. He is also a contributor to Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly regarding family law issues.
Attorney Schwartz has been an active member in the legal community. He has served as a panelist for the Family Law Trial Advocacy Program, participated in Worcester County Volunteer Lawyer’s Association, the Massachusetts Justice Project, served on the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Committee and currently serves on the Worcester County Probate Court Committee, and founded the Worcester County Bar Association Conciliation Program. Attorney Schwartz is a court-approved special master and currently accepts court appointments to conduct hearings and make findings for the court on family law related issues.
