Mr. DiPaula's practice includes representation in personal matters, small business matters, civil litigation, probate, and criminal defense. He has experience handling cases in nearly all District and Circuit Courts in the State. Mr. DiPaula was voted to The Daily Record's "A-List" in 1999 as one of Maryland's favorite personal lawyers, and selected as a 2014 finalist for SmartCEO Magazine's Power Player Award for attorneys. In 2016, he applied for and was highly recommended by the MSBA to the Governor for appointment as a Judge to the Circuit Court for Harford County.

 In 2020 Mr. DiPaula received the Leadership in Law Award from The Daily Record, Baltimore’s Legal and Business Newspaper.  He has an AV Peer Review Rating by Martindale Hubbell, the highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards.

Prior to entering the practice of law and while finishing his education at the University of Baltimore School of Law, Mr. DiPaula served from January 1983 through September 1984 as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable A. Owen Hennegan, an associate judge on the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. While awaiting Bar admission in 1984, he began working for a Towson firm where he remained for sixteen (16) years as an Associate before departing to open a practice in Bel Air, close to his home in 2000. Prior to clerking for Judge Hennegan, Mr. DiPaula's prior legal experience included various assistant positions in the Baltimore County Office of Law, assisting the County Law Department in representing County agencies, and serving as an assistant librarian in the Baltimore County Bar Library.

On a personal level, Tony was born on April 17 and raised in the Randallstown area of Baltimore County. Tony and his wife became homeowners in Bel Air in 1984 where they have raised their four children and been very active in St. Margaret Catholic Church and School, and the Bel Air community. Tony has coached youth baseball, coached basketball and chaired the Bel Air Boys Basketball Program, and served on the Bel Air Recreation Committee Board of Directors. He continues to be actively involved as a Calvert Hall College High School alumnus, and Loyola College (now Loyola University Maryland) alumnus and he and his wife have served as Co-Chairs of the Patriot Parent Association of The John Carroll School
