Carole Cole was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and grew up in Fountain City.  Ms. Cole earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee in 1996 graduating Magna Cum Laude.  She was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society.  She was the 1996 recipient of the Leroy Graf Excellence in History Scholarship Award.  Ms. Cole was a member of the Undergraduate Mock Trial Team and earned the Best Attorney Award at the National Competition in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1996.  She was honored to serve as president of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity during the academic year of 1996-1997. 

Ms. Cole earned her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Tennessee School of Law in 2000.  During her time at the law school she was a member of the Student Bar Association, American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and served her community in the Pro Bono Advocacy Program.  She was a student attorney with the University of Tennessee Legal Clinic and served as committee head and public relations editor in Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.  During her time as a law student she interned with the Knox County Law Department and Hull, Dummer, Della-Rodolfa and Garland Law Firm, which she joined as an Associate after she passed the bar in October of 2000.   She was promoted to partner in 2003. Now has her own firm; Carole Cole Law.

Ms. Cole concentrates her skills in the area of family law.  She has vast experience in
divorce law, child custody, child support and dependency and neglect cases which may or may not involve the Department of Children’s Services.  In addition, she is a Rule 31 Family Law Listed Mediator. She prides herself in her personal service and efficient response to her client’s needs. 

Ms. cole also is glad to settle cases through mediation when clients prefer to do so without an attorney. If this occurs she will provide a Mediated Agreement and either client may hire an attorney to prepare the paperwork necessary to enter the divorce.

In her free time, Ms. Cole enjoys spending time with her husband of 24 years and is thoroughly devoted to her 3 dogs and 2 cats.  She is a strong advocate for animal rights.  She is an exercise enthusiast.  When not serving her clients Ms. Cole enjoys being outside, swimming, hiking and running as much as possible.
