Kenneth P. Niman has over 40 years of legal experience, providing representation to clients in a variety of matters, including employment, personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability and other aspects of general civil litigation. He currently concentrates his practice in the areas of motor vehicle personal injury (automobile, truck, motorcycle and pedestrian accidents), workers’ compensation, premises liability, nursing home negligence, medical malpractice and alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration). His clients, over the years, have ranged from labor organizations to small businesses, but he has always concentrated on representing individuals – primarily those who have suffered physical or mental injury or damage. He has tried cases (court and jury trials) in State and Federal Courts throughout the state of Maryland – from Western Maryland to the Eastern Shore – and has represented clients before numerous state and local administrative bodies.

Mr. Niman has been certified as a Mediator by the Circuit Courts of Baltimore County, Baltimore City and Frederick County and currently mediates disputes pending in those jurisdictions, as assigned by the Courts, as well as conducting mediations and arbitrations for private parties. He has extensive experience representing clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.

Mr. Niman has successfully represented clients at several appellate levels, including the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland, the Maryland Court of Appeals and the Fourth Circuit United States Court of Appeals. His bar admissions include the Maryland Court of Appeals (1972), the United States District Court for the District of Maryland (1973) and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit (1993).

He has an AV Peer Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible peer review rating.

Mr. Niman is a member of the Barristers Law Club. He has served as an officer of Beth El Synagogue and is currently a member of the Beth El Board.
