Robert L. Crongeyer devotes his practice to serving as a mediator and represents litigants in state and federal courts. Mr. Crongeyer has extensive experience in medical and legal malpractice cases, and also represents architects, engineers and general contractors in construction litigation. Mr. Crongeyer also represents plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of personal injury cases and has appeared on behalf of defendants in white collar criminal cases in the federal courts. He returns to Beggs & Lane after having been a partner in the Firm for fourteen years. He most recently held the position of Civil Division Magistrate with the Circuit Court for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit in South Florida and was appointed and served as United States Magistrate for the Northern District of Florida for ten years.

Mr. Crongeyer is an Advocate Emeritus of the American Board of Trial Attorneys, has served on the First District Court of Appeal Nominating Commission, the Governor’s Council on Crime & Delinquency and was Chairman of the Eleventh Circuit National Council of U.S. Magistrates. He has lectured at Florida State University, the University of West Florida, local bar associations and Florida Bar seminars on federal court practice. Mr. Crongeyer is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before state and federal trial courts.
