For almost 20 years, Elise Scheck Bonwitt has practiced as a corporate lawyer working in the areas of commercial litigation, employment law and corporate transactions. She has provided representation in various employment matters, including but not limited to Employment Agreements, Discrimination and Termination. Scheck Bonwitt is also a Certified Circuit Court Mediator, who has mediated cases in the areas of corporate litigation, employment law, real estate, probate, insurance and personal injury. Over the past few years, she has also served as legal counsel to several privately-held companies regarding issues such as employment law and corporate transactions. She was Legal Counsel for Sweet Paper Sales Corp., one of the largest privately-held companies in South Florida. Prior to Sweet Paper Sales, she worked at the law firm, Smoler, Lerman, Bente and Whitebook, P.A.
Scheck Bonwitt received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University and her law degree from the University of Miami Law School. Scheck Bonwitt has volunteered for many different local organizations throughout the years. Currently, she is the President of Women’s Philanthropy of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, a board member of the Overtown Youth Center and a member of the Women’s Leadership Circle of United Way. She has also provided pro-bono services through different agencies throughout Miami.
