Served as Chair, Young Lawyers Section, Utah State Bar and as President, Legal Center for the Handicapped. Former Chair, Board of Directors and Member, Executive Committee, Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Former Chair and Member, Executive Committee, Lex Mundi, a global association of over 158 independent law firms. Former Member, Board of Directors, University of Utah Alumni Association, the Utah Arts Festival (Chair, 1983), the Utah Endowment for the Humanities, the President's Club of the University of Utah, the Utah Tennis Association and Ballet West (Chair, 1987-1992). Served on the Holy Cross Hospital Planned Giving Executive Committee. Member, University of Utah National Advisory Council.
