My grandfather was a Rabbi and my father a country Doctor. I have always seen myself as continuing in their footsteps - tending to the needs of people, be they spiritual, physical or social. The type of law practice that I have chosen is a people practice, including Domestic Relations, Estate Planning and Administration, Social Security Disability, and Collaborative Family Law. In all four areas of the law, we are grappling with some of life's greatest stresses. My hope is to play a role in the healing process.

Mediation has been a passion of mine since first being trained in 1993 to mediate for the Pottstown Human Relations Commission.  The opportunity to break away from the more formal legal process and get to the heart of issues through direct contact makes sense to me and to many others in the legal community.

Conflict is a natural outgrowth of human interaction.  We often attempt to avoid the conflict, yet if a relationship is to be sustained, differences must be confronted.  Direct mediation conversation can give voice to the unheard and clarity to the misunderstood.  Decisions are made by the parties in the dispute, not by a third party who imposes a result.

As chair of several mediation committees and organizations, I have participated in the development of practices and procedures of mediation.  Over these years, my practice has ranged from community issues, to custody, property division in divorce, real estate disputes and elder mediation.
