The Role of the Mediator
The mediator is a neutral facilitator who helps the parties define the issues in dispute and assists them in resolving those issues.
Benefits of Mediation
Mediation is a voluntary process that is especially beneficial in divorce. The dispute can be resolved and at the same time a working relationship can be preserved that benefits not only the parties but also their children, if any.
Mediation is more cost effective and can produce better results than Litigation. Parties who negotiate their own settlements have more control over the outcome of their divorce and usually are more satisfied with their mutually agreed upon solutions, as opposed to solutions that are imposed by the Court, over which they have no control.
